MTH ELECTRIC TRAINS

The Central of New Jersey, like many railroads of the day, required ever-changing motive power to cope with increasing traffic needs. As its aging fleet of 4-4-0s, 4-4-2s and 4-6-0s proved unable to handle greater passenger and freight loads, the CNJ turned to the standard of the day; the 4-6-2 Pacific type. Five P47 Pacifics headed up the Jersey's famed passenger trains. Three locomotives - painted in a beautiful blue livery and numbered 831, 832 and 833 - were used for the Blue Comet. A fourth P47, No. 834 was painted green and pulled "The Bullet" while the last locomotive, No. 835, sported all black and hauled the Queen of the Valley. Following on the heels of the 1998 M.T.H. Premier Line Blue Comet, the green Bullet debuts in 2004. Sporting additional detail and the incredible power and performance of Proto-Sound 2.0, the Bullet may well be the smoothest running steam locomotive in your roster. Certainly its patented synchronized puffing smoke and Proto-Speed Control are unmatched by any other manufacturer and give the engine a level of performance you have to see to believe.
