The original FB-2 Locomotive Booster prototype was a "cab-less" unit that generated the equivalent of 1600 horsepower. The FB-2 Locomotive Unit is distinguished by its B-B wheel arrangement and the location of its radiator shutters and fan which are found considerably forward of the car body. The original FB-2 was 52 feet 8 inches. The FB-2s, like the FB-1s, are built to allow room for a steam generator in the space where a cab is located in the A Units. The M.T.H. RailKing FB-2 Locomotive Booster Unit is available with the markings of the New Haven, New York Central, Santa Fe, Southern, and Union Pacific Railroads. This Booster Unit can be added to the RailKing FA-2 AA Diesel Set to create the classic railroad engine unit arrangement (A-B-A) to produce exceptional pulling power for your trains.
