The Baltimore & Ohio railroad was America's oldest railroad, stretching from the East Coast to the Mid-West and South, providing an important link for both coal and passenger traffic during its peak years. In fact, its first railroad station, America's oldest, was located in Ellicott City, Maryland, just a few minutes from M.T.H.'s headquarters. The original structure still stands today, serving as an annex of the B&O Railroad Museum.

Imagine their faces when the whistle wails or the exclusive Passenger Station Proto-Effects begin calling out the next station stop on the line - just like the real stations! Of course, seeing the synchronized puffing smoke from the locomotive as it pull its three-car passenger consist with die-cast metal trucks and operating metal couplers is even more impressive and tells all who see it that this is one great set.
