January 20, 2021 - M.T.H. Electric Trains will be releasing a series of 2021 Christmas items from our RailKing O Gauge lineup later this Spring and Summer. If you've been a fan of our Christmas-themed cars over the past eleven years, then these items are the perfect way to expand your collection or start your very own holiday train garden. 2021 Christmas releases include two RailKing O Gauge ES44 Diesel/Caboose Sets and a variety of add-on freight cars sporting Santa and traditional themes.
The first ES44AC and matching Bay Window caboose featured on the left are colorfully decorated to match most of the "traditional" cars in the collection. Our near-scale model is a full 17" in length, yet operates comfortably on O-31 curves. Under the hood is the very same Proto-Sound 3.0 sound and control package found in our more expensive Premier model of this locomotive, with sounds recorded from the actual prototype and Passenger Station Proto-Effects featuring popular Christmas carols. Additional Imperial features include operating diesel exhaust smoke, flashing ditch lights and colorful charging lights running the length of the body.
In addition to the traditional livery, a second ES44 Diesel/Caboose set sporting Santa decor is also found in the list on the left that match up well with any of the remaining cars in the list. The locomotive is more than powerful enough to pull all the cars in the 2021 series - some of which are already in-stock - and features unique Santa sounds along with all the other features found in the first set.
