MTH ELECTRIC TRAINS

December 13, 2006 - M.T.H. Electric Trains has released the first of its SD70ACe diesel locomotives in BNSF, CSX and EMD Demonstrator liveries, each representing our lastest effort to produce roadname accurate models whenever possible. In fact, two different bodies were used to create these engines, with the EMD Demonstrator differing from the design used in the CSX and BNSF production runs in accordance with the actual EMD prototype. In fact, once the EMD bodies were molded, the M.T.H. tooling was permanently changed so that we could create the BNSF and CSX versions. The EMD version thus represents the first and last time that style body will ever be produced in our Premier Line SD70ACe model.

In an effort to provide readers with an in-depth peek at the SD70ACe model, we've included a variety of shots highlighting some of the many details found on these incredible locomotives. In addition to the detail enhancements, all SD70ACe versions include our newest Proto-Scale 3-2 power truck which features six-wheel drive and the ability to operate on 2-rail or 3-rail track. In addition, each locomotive is outfitted with the legendary Proto-Sound 2.0 digital sound and train control system which can operate on AC or DC power making the SD70ACe one of the most compatible locomotives sold today.
