February 9, 2021 - M.T.H. Electric Trains will be releasing several limited-edition releases of the RailKing RS-3 diesel locomotive in four different liveries this Summer. These unique releases are part of a series of products representing the last M.T.H. production runs as the company concludes its 40-year history this year. Each of these offerings is expected to arrive in August 2021.
The RailKing RS-3 is featured in the M.T.H.'s RailKing Scale product line and features 1/48th scale proportions yet operates comfortably on O-27 curves. Under the hood of the Proto-Sound 3.0 version is the same sound and control system found in all of our RailKing and Premier diesel locomotives - complete with sounds recorded from an actual Alco RS-3. Additional features include operating diesel exhaust smoke and LED lighting. If you're looking for realism and a lot of fun at a RailKing price, it doesn't get any better than this!
