Norfolk Southern O Gauge RailKing Dash-8 Diesel R-T-R Freight Train Set w/Proto-Sound 3.0

Unveiled at Washington, D.C.’s Union Station in June 2015, Norfolk Southern’s engine No. 911 honors the dedication and sacrifices of our nation’s first responders. It features the Maltese Cross of fire services, the Emergency Medical Services’ “Star of Life,” and the Police shield. In addition, engine 911 underscores the railroad’s commitment to its Operation Awareness & Response (OAR) outreach program for hazmat training, which reaches thousands of emergency first responders each year in lineside communities across 18 states.

Our set and additional add-on cars are based on the Norfolk Southern’s Hazmat Safety Train, which travels the NS system to provide classroom and hands-on training, tabletop simulations, and full-scale emergency response training exercises. The railroad has been recognized as a national leader in helping communities prepare for and respond to hazmat transportation incidents.
