Regional Transportation Authority O Scale Premier 2-Car Scale Bi-Level Passenger Set

The Pullman-Standard bi-level rail passenger car was a double-decker passenger car built by the Pullman-Standard Car Manufacturing Company in the 1950s. They were used by many railroads in the United States and Canada and continue to see action on today's roads.

The bi-level design was intended to increase passenger capacity without increasing the length of the train. This was important for commuter railroads in densely populated areas, where train lengths were often limited by platform lengths.

With a capacity of up to 160 passengers, depending on the configuration, the cars were popular with passengers and railroads alike thanks to the spacious and comfortable interiors and their ability to increase capacity and efficiency on commuter railroads and other short-distance routes.
