June 15, 2011 - Select locomotives featured in Premier and Railking Catalogs as well as Lionel Corporation Tinplate catalogs that have not yet shipped will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0 instead of the cataloged Proto-Sound 2.0. Below are the affected models broken down by Product Line and catalog issue. This list is in addition to the announcement of locomotives featured in the 2011 Volume 2 catalog that will also be receiving Proto-Sound 3.0.

2011 Volume 1 Dash-9 Diesel Locomotive:
Items 20-20117-1, 20-20117-2, 20-20118-1, 20-20118-2, 20-20119-1, 20-20119-2, 20-20120-1 and 20-20120-2 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.
2011 Volume 1 Turbo Train:

2011 Volume 1 GG-1 Electrics:
Items 30-5115-1, 30-5116-1, 30-5117-1 and 30-5118-1 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.
2011 Volume 1 Alco PA Diesels:
Items 30-20038-1, 30-20039-1, 30-20040-1 and 30-20041-1 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.
2011 Volume 1 RDC Budd Car Sets:
Items 30-20029-1, 30-20030-1, 30-20031-1 and 30-20032-1 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.
2011 Volume 1 Aerotrain:
Items 30-20029-1, 30-20042-1 and 30-20043-1 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.

2011 Lionel Corporation Catalog No. 262 Steam Loco & Tender:
Items 11-6022-1 and 11-6023-1 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.
2011 Lionel Corporation Catalog No. 260 Steam Loco & Tender:
Items 11-6012-1 and 11-6024-1 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.
2011 Lionel Corporation Catalog City of Denver Set:
Items 11-6020-1 and 11-6021-1 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.
2011 Lionel Corporation Catalog No. 249 & 269 Ready-to-Run Train Set:
Items 11-5505-1 and 11-5507-1 will be configured with Proto-Sound 3.0.
