Overview
In 1928-30, the Ives Company made a distinctive Standard Gauge 3245 electric engine. The "St. Paul Type" engine came with two different engine body styles. The original 1928 version used the 13-1/2"-long 3237 body on a low-riding three-part chassis designed to match new cars. M.T.H. models the 1930 long-body "Olympian" version, with a twist. For the first time ever in tinplate, this model is available in the paint scheme of the real Milwaukee Road Olympian bi-polar engine and passenger consist. Tinplate's signature shiny enamel finish handsomely covers the center-cab unit and its long, rounded hoods, making for a beautiful engine. The matching passenger cars, of stamped steel painted in colorful baked enamel, work with the 3245 engine to comprise a distinguished Olympian set that will add a touch of class to any Standard Gauge layout. Operates on STD-42 Curves
