Overview
The 3243 S-Type locomotive was the Ives Company's top quality locomotive for most of the 1920s. It featured a 4-4-4 wheel arrangement and came with a choice of hand-reverse or automatic-sequence-reverse versions. It returns to the Tinplate Tradition lineup in several attention-getting colors, including the Wanamaker wine, dark olive green and all red schemes we offer here. The special Wanamaker sets were originally produced for the Wanamaker department store. M.T.H. proudly reproduces this fine engine in its 3243R automatic-reverse-sequence traditional version. Users preferring a more modern operating experience should choose our contemporary Proto-Sound 2.0 version for incredible smooth operation and high quality digital sound effects.
