Available Items

March 4, 2009 - M.T.H. Electric Trains has announced its 2009 Dealer Appreciation Program (DAP) featuring a limited selection of items, each in a specially marked D.A.P. package, that will not appear in any M.T.H. catalog in their D.A.P. configuration. To make these limited edition products truly special, we offer each Authorized M.T.H. Retailer only two of these special packages.

This year's program is headed up by a Union Pacific DDA40X special business train. This real-life consist is used by the UP to promote the railroad to current and prospective shippers.

Also included in the package is an engineering version of the Orient Express 2-3-1 steam engine. Even since this engine was first detailed in undecorated form last year, we've received requests for such a version and decided to make it a new feature for the DAP program beginning this year.

In conjunction with our recently announced licensing agreement with Lionel Trains, we've included two new Lionel Corporation Tinplate freight cars - No. 214 Std. Gauge Box Car and No. 2814 O Gauge Box Car - to represent our tinplate category in this year's program.

Our RailKing One Gauge product line is headed up with an Erie 4-Bay Hopper car which makes a great complement to our recently shipped Erie Triplex steam engine.

As in previous DAP packages, we've also included a 2009 Christmas car.

The final offering in the 2009 DAP program is our EMD Demonstrator SD70ACe HO diesel engine. This version differs from the rendention offered in the regular HO lineup by sporting a GM logo instead of the EMD logo.

These packages will be limited to two per M.T.H. Authorized Retailer. Check with your retailer to learn if they plan to put their sets up for sale.
